Stake Helper — browser extension
Last updated: 23 September 2026In short: this extension sends nothing about you anywhere. It reads figures already displayed on the Stake page in front of you, works out a couple of numbers from them, and shows those numbers back to you. Anything it keeps — your layout, the withdrawal addresses you choose to save, a handful of VIP readings — is saved on your own device and stays there. Its only network request asks a public service for today's exchange rates, and carries nothing with it.
What the extension reads
Everything it reads is already on screen on the page you have open. Nothing hidden is accessed, and no account data is requested from Stake.
On a Mines game, it reads the number of mines, which tiles are selected, your bet amount, and the currency symbol shown beside it. It also reads the label on the bet button, in order to tell the Auto tab from Manual and to notice when autobet is running. To know which tiles you have selected, it watches for clicks on the game board; this is passive observation of the board only, it never interferes with a click, and the clicks are not recorded.
On the withdrawal form — and only there, not on the rest of the wallet — it reads the coin you have selected, the contents of the Address field, and, on chains that use one, the destination tag or memo field, so that an address can be saved when you ask for one to be saved. It writes to those two fields only when you press Use on a saved entry. It never reads or writes the Two Factor field, never presses Withdraw, and never fills anything on its own.
It also copies the coin's icon from the Currency row of that same form and shows it beside the ticker in its own panel. That is the picture already loaded on the page being drawn a second time: no image is downloaded, and nothing is sent in order to show it.
On the VIP progress bar, it reads your progress percentage and the names of your current and next ranks. If you open the Statistics panel, it also reads the "Wagered" total shown there, and the currency shown beside your balance. These are used to work out how much wager remains until your next rank, and to show that figure in the currency the site is displaying.
All of this happens inside your browser. The values are read, used to produce numbers on screen, and — apart from the VIP readings described below — discarded.
What is stored on your device
A few things are saved locally using the browser's chrome.storage API:
- Display preferences — where you dragged the panel, whether you popped it out, and what size you made it.
- Exchange rates — the most recent table of rates against the US dollar, so the figure can be converted without fetching them again on every page.
- Withdrawal addresses you choose to save — only ones you explicitly save, with the name you give them, the destination tag if you saved one, and the order you dragged them into, grouped by coin. They are stored in plain form on this device, are never transmitted, and can be removed individually at any time. Nothing is saved unless you press Save.
- VIP progress readings — a short history of the progress percentages and "Wagered" totals shown to you in the Statistics panel, along with the difference between them. This exists so the extension can check its own estimate against itself over time: a stable difference confirms the figure, a drifting one flags that it has stopped being reliable. At most a dozen readings are kept.
This data:
- stays on the device where it was created;
- is not readable by the developer or by anyone else;
- is not transmitted, sold, or shared with anyone, for any purpose;
- is removed when you uninstall the extension.
What is not collected
The extension does not collect, request, or have access to any of the following:
- personally identifiable information — name, address, email address, or identification numbers;
- account credentials, passwords, or authentication tokens;
- payment information — card numbers, or deposit details;
- your transaction history, bet history, or individual bet results;
- location data;
- browsing history or the list of pages you visit;
- keystrokes, or any tracking of your activity beyond the game board described above.
The figures it does read — your bet amount, your displayed balance currency, your VIP percentage and your wagered total — are read only to produce the numbers it shows you. They are never sent anywhere.
Third parties and network requests
The extension contains no analytics, no crash or error reporting, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. It loads no remotely hosted code.
It makes exactly one kind of network request: twice a day it fetches the current exchange
rates from open.er-api.com, so that the VIP figure can be shown in your chosen
currency. That request is made in the background, carries no parameters, and sends nothing about
you, your account, or the page you are on — it asks only "what are today's rates against the US
dollar". Nothing is sent in return traffic either; the rates are stored locally and read from
there. If the request fails or is blocked, a built-in rate table is used instead and the figure
still works.
Because no data about you is gathered, there is nothing to sell or transfer, and no data is shared with any third party for any purpose.
Site access
The extension runs only on Stake and its regional domains — stake.com, stake.us, stake.bet, stake.games, stake.krd, staketr.com, stake.ac, stake.mba, stake.jp and stake.bz — because that is where the pages it reads from are hosted. It does not run on, or have permission to read, any other website.
It additionally holds permission to contact open.er-api.com, used solely for the
exchange-rate request described above. It does not run on that site or read anything from it
beyond the rates themselves.
Children
This extension is not directed at children and is intended only for adults who are legally permitted to use the site it supports.
Affiliation
This extension is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Stake, and it does not place bets, automate play, sign in, move funds, or change any account setting.
Accuracy
The figures shown are calculated from what is on the page and are provided for information only. The Mines payout is derived from the game's own published maths. The VIP figure is an estimate, and is marked as such until the extension has been able to check it against a second reading. Neither is a guarantee of any outcome or payment.
Changes to this policy
If the extension's data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the date at the top revised before the change ships. Any change that introduces data collection would also be disclosed on the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
